Skilled and Compassionate Dental Care

White Pine Family Dentistry is dedicated to building a long-term relationship with team members and patients that is founded on integrity, mutual respect, and high-quality dental care. Delivering skilled and compassionate dental care for you and your family is our top priority.

To the patients who have been seeing Dr. Stephen Lee and Dr. Peter Smith, do not worry, they are not stepping away just yet! They are, however, getting closer to retirement. Having served the Hamilton community for close to 30 years, they felt it important to ensure your dental treatment is in capable hands for the coming decades.

Enter the husband and wife team of Dr. Daniel Valicevic and Dr. Parminder Dulay. These two were hand picked by Dr. Lee and Dr. Smith because they share the same emphasis on treating their patients as family, and providing quality dental care.

So to our new and returning patients alike, we are so happy to welcome you to White Pine Family Dentistry, and we look forward to caring for you in the years to come.

Stephen Lee DDS - White Pine Family Dentistry

Dr. Stephen Lee

Dr. Lee was born & raised in the Ottawa valley along the St. Lawrence river in the small town of Morrisburg. After attending the University of Toronto for dental school, he started his practice at the original Fortinos plaza at Upper Ottawa and Larch. In 2001 Dr. Lee moved his practice to the mountain location to become dental roommates with Dr. Smith.

No stranger to working with his hands, Dr. Lee grew up helping out at his family’s Canadian/Chinese restaurant, and spent much of his free time fishing. He hasn’t lost his love for food, as outside of the office Dr. Lee still loves to cook. He also loves to play tennis and golf, and is still in pursuit of his first hole in one!

Peter Smith DDS - White Pine Family Dentistry

Dr. Peter Smith

A native of Fort Erie, Ontario, Dr. Peter Smith graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto in 1978. Dr. Smith has a practice philosophy that involves treating his patients like his own family members, and has been serving the Hamilton community in that manner since 1979.

Teeth aren’t the only thing Dr. Smith can fix – when he’s not practicing dentistry, he enjoys home renovations. Dr. Smith is also an avid skier, but most of all he enjoys spending time with his family, and is a proud grandfather.

Parminder Dulay DDS - White Pine Family Dentistry

Dr. Parminder Dulay

Dr. Parminder Dulay was born and raised in Brampton, Ontario. She attended McGill University for her Bachelor’s Degree before moving to Ann Arbor, MI to attend the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where she first met her husband, Dr. Valicevic. Dr. Dulay’s commitment to continuing education led her to a residency program in Denver, Colorado, as well as completing her fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.

After spending 6 years practicing in Colorado, Dr. Dulay finally convinced her husband to move back to Canada. She is so happy to be back, and is excited to get involved with and serve the Hamilton community. In her spare time, Dr. Dulay enjoys spending time with her family, finding new recipes to try out, and is teaching herself the piano. Just ask Dr. V which skill she is better at!

Dan Valicevic DDS - White Pine Family Dentistry

Dr. Daniel Valicevic

Dr. Daniel Valicevic, or “Dr. V”, was born and raised in the metro Detroit area of Michigan. He stayed in state for his bachelor’s and dental degree, first meeting his wife, Dr. Dulay, at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. After a pit stop in Chicago for his residency program, Dr. V followed his wife to the beautiful state of Colorado to practice dentistry and enjoy the outdoors.

Dr. V is thrilled to be in the Hamilton community, and can happily confirm that the stereotype is true – Canadians are nicer! Outside of dentistry, he loves spending time with his family, and is a huge basketball fan. Dr. V’s mom said he could play for the Detroit Pistons when he was younger, and while he perhaps took that a bit too seriously, he is happy to just play rec league and pickup for now.
